One night of the year 2023, , Amirhossein, feeling unwell, sat at the piano and played something—music that would later be used in the film. Soheil recorded an audio file that night, and the following day, while improvising with an old Panasonic Handycam, he played back the previous evening’s recording. The film you see is essentially a long, continuous one-take shot, captured through that process. During the editing, additional sounds and textures were layered into the musical fabric— including the voice of Maynard James Keenan performing a live rendition of "Simultaneous," and sounds from conversations among astronauts during one of their exploratory missions. In the end, it was after experiencing the final cut a few days later, once the editing was complete, that the essence of the Spiral Spectrum began to take shape in our minds.
